Super Eagles chance losing out on another world glass after 3 draws in 1st 3 qualifiers
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were beaten to a 1-1 draw by fierce rivals South Africa on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo during the third round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Themba Zwane's goal in the 31st minute put Bafana Bafana ahead, but Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's first goal for Nigeria in the 46th minute gave the Eagles a point.
The result means that the Eagles, who still have seven games left, are in fifth place in Group C with three points, having lost their last three games.

A few moments later, Moffi's goal-bound shot was cleared by the alert goalkeeper once more.
